I have seen this magnet fall out of the piston, it is only glued in, witch stops the piston from travelling all the way to the bottom of the stroke, as well as the sensor will not see it. I had this experience with a '94 VMC 4020.

I believe it should go to G53 3.0" or 3" above CS. It has to reach that before it will rotate to the next pocket.
